Zingiswa Losi

Zingiswa Losi is a South African trade unionist and politician. She was elected as a 2nd Deputy President of COSATU in 2009, held that position until she was elected unopposed as the first female president of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) in 2018 September and re-elected September 2022.  


She is a President of the Southern African Trade Union Coordinating Council (SATUCC) in the SADC Region elected in 2017 October in Tanzania with 21 Affiliates and reelected in 2022 October in South Africa. Elected as a member of International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) General Council in Melbourne, Australia in November 2022.  


She is a member of the ILO Governing Body elected in June 2024, at 112th Session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva.
