Nobukhosi Dlamini

She is a distinguished leader in South Africa’s technology sector, bringing extensive experience in innovation, cybersecurity, data protection, and enterprise information management. As Director of Information Technology for the Department of Health & Wellness in the Western Cape Government, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the digital transformation and technology governance that underpin public health and wellness services in the province.

Beyond her government role, Nobukhosi is the founder and driving force behind Bahati Tech, a vibrant tech consulting company based in Cape Town. Through Bahati Tech, she provides strategic guidance and technology solutions that address both private and public sector needs. Understanding the importance of nurturing the next generation, she also founded Bahati Tech Girls, a non-profit mentorship initiative that supports young girls—especially from informal settlements—to pursue careers in technology.

Nobukhosi’s technical expertise is complemented by her advocacy for inclusion and transformation. She is deeply committed to increasing participation of African women in technology, creating spaces where they can grow, excel, and lead. As the Digital Marketing Stream Lead at the Innovation Hub by Hillsong Africa Foundation, she helps young people explore and prepare for technology careers. She also adds value through her service on the UCT Alumni Advisory Board, working to strengthen ties between alumni and the university for the institution’s transformation and future readiness.

Well-known as a dynamic speaker and motivator, Nobukhosi regularly addresses audiences on topics ranging from cyber-risk management, agile and enterprise IT transformation, to diversity and women’s empowerment in tech. Her ability to bridge technical insight with real-world application makes her a compelling voice in both local and international forums.
