Amelia Visagie

Amelia Visagie is a storyteller, resilient warrior, and eternal accidental optimist who believes life’s toughest seasons grow the most beautiful blooms.  She has lived enough chapters to fill a garden and she believes in turning life’s compost into something worth blooming from.  Known for her ability to find humour in hard times and wisdom in unexpected places, Amelia has spent years inspiring others through her work in training, community development, leadership, and social change – all while being a mom, a friend, a supporter, and occasionally the glue that holds the chaos together.

When she’s not writing, she’s planting ideas, building connections with people who inspire change, creating spaces where others can bloom too, and stirring up recipes (for life and dinner), and occasionally being just a little bit wild in the best possible way.  This book is the messy, magical story of blooming again (and again), and she hopes it reminds you that you can, too.

She has a soft spot for people, a wild love for sunflowers and dandelions, and an unshakable belief that even in any mess, magic can grow. Oops, I Bloomed Again is her love letter to resilience, written for anyone who’s ever had to start over, laugh at bad timing, or figure out how to thrive when the soil wasn’t perfect.  This book is her debut memoir, a blend of raw honesty, laughter, and life lessons, sprinkled with practical fun facts, soulful poems, and recipes that nourish the body, mind, and spirit.

To the wild souls, the quiet fighters, and the accidental bloomers — this is for you. To everyone who ever felt too much or not enough, to those who smiled through storms, and to the ones who grew in places that weren’t meant for gardens — you are proof that beauty thrives in chaos.

To her family and friends who watered her roots, even when she felt she was dying bit by bit, she thanks you for believing in my next bloom. Bloom wildly.  Break beautifully.  Bloom again and again!
