Lenore Gross Majies
Is a trailblazing entrepreneur, mother of three, wife and celebrated for her excellence in fashion, style, and image consultancy. She holds a Bachelor of Primary Education degree and served as an educator in primary school. Her professional journey is marked by numerous accolades, including being named one of Standard Bank’s Top 100 Influential Women in 2020, receiving the DRG Top Businesswomen Award in 2022, and winning the Best Fierce Woman in Business Award in 2023.
As the founder of LENORE INC., a luxury fashion accessories brand with global reach, she continues to make an indelible mark in the industry. Her dynamic career spans fashion, makeup artistry, etiquette, hospitality coaching, and protocol consultancy. Her influence extends beyond business into advocacy, mentorship, and community empowerment, through various initiatives. Lenore has served as Chairperson of the Women in Business Forum for the Durban Chamber, is a member of several business associations, and has represented South Africa in international business forums such as the France-South Africa Investment Conference led by South Africa’s Deputy President, as well as the 20th CII India-Africa Coclave.
She is also a passionate advocate for youth and women’s empowerment, championing initiatives that promote social cohesion through the arts. She has recently attended Miss World in India. A highly qualified dance coach, adjudicator and chairperson of adjudicators, she has judged the South African Ballroom and Latin American Dance Championships , Provincial Championships and continues to support the performing arts, as well as the creative sectors. Lenore’s story is one of resilience and transformation. After a life-altering accident left her intermittently wheelchair-bound, and developed a chronic illness called Fibromyalgia, she refused to succumb to fibromyalgia and chronic pain and reclaimed her life and confidence.
Her ongoing journey, including her triumphant return to high heels, stands as a beacon of hope for others battling adversity. She is an advocate for greater awareness, conversations and support for chronic illnesses, mental health and wellness. She now shares her journey on a broader platform as a main cast member of the Showmax Reality Tv show The Mommy Club: Sugar & Spice, highlighting the balance between her business ventures, family life and living with an invisible chronic illness. An entrepreneur, motivational speaker, event host, adjudicator and pageantry judge, Lenore Goss-Matjie continues to inspire through her authenticity, strength, perseverance and unwavering commitment to excellence.
