- What inspire’s you to be part of the WomenIN portfolio, and what impact do you hope to create through your work?
My Inspiration comes from being raised by a single mother and grandmother, seeing them battle each day to do what is typically expected from men, they taught the true value of respect for women, irrespective of who they are and what they may or may not have, I intend to create such platforms to give women HOPE.
- WomenIN is all about breaking barriers and fostering collaboration. What does this mission mean to you personally
It is good to see women making strides in taking up space and leadership roles, even though it is not growing at a pace most would want, this mission for me means, as a MEN, I need to take accountability for my gender where possible in trying to assist them in changing their mindset and perspective when it comes to women and their equal inclusion. - If you could give one piece of advice to women looking to step into leadership or break into male-dominated industries, what would it be?
My advice would be, time for talking is over, it is time for action, use platforms like the WomenIN festival to encourage each other as women to comes up with mentorship programs and mechanisms that will help the young generation, especially those still in school, so that they suffer far less injustices once they reach a certain stage. My advice to women would be to teach their kids, as early as 4 years old, irrespective of the gender, the importance of both women and men in this world. - What are you looking forward to most for the WomenIN Festival 2025?
I am mostly looking forward to hearing testimonies from these amazing women, on how far they have come in implementation.
